Schedule and Update Meetings

You can schedule a new Webex video meeting by providing a title and specific start/end timestamps via `create_video_meeting`. Cascade handles the whole sequence, so you just set the goal. Need to move things around? If you update the time or title of an existing meeting using `update_meeting_schedule`, Windsurf automatically adjusts all connected resources for you.

Manage Webex Spaces

To start a new collaboration space, use `create_webex_room` to generate a unique room title. Don't worry about the details; Cascade takes care of setting up the environment. If you need a different name for an existing room, simply run `update_room_title`. You never have to leave your primary workflow just to rename something.

Retrieve and List Webex Data

Checking what’s going on is easy. Use `list_webex_rooms` or `list_scheduled_meetings` to get a full list of every space or appointment you belong to. Want the specific details? You can grab anything from `get_meeting_details` or use `get_room_details` to pull exactly what you need without having to navigate away from your code.

Setup guide

Set up Webex MCP in Windsurf

Prerequisites

  • Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Click the Cascade assistant icon in the sidebar, then click the hammer icon (🔨) at the top of the panel. Select "Configure" to open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

  2. 2

    Add the Webex MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Refresh MCPs

Go back to the hammer icon (🔨) in Cascade and click "Refresh". Windsurf will detect the new server. No full restart is needed — the connection is hot-reloaded.

  4. 4

    Verify in Cascade

Start a new Cascade conversation and ask something like "Show my Webex payment history." If connected, Cascade will call the Webex tools directly. You will see a green dot next to the server name in the MCP panel.

Common questions about Webex MCP in Windsurf

Windsurf handles the entire flow. You tell it, 'Schedule a meeting for next week,' and it uses `create_video_meeting` to book it right away. It manages time zones and invites automatically.
Yes, you can cancel scheduled appointments. The tool `delete_scheduled_meeting` permanently cancels the meeting. Be careful; this action is irreversible.
You use `get_room_details` to pull all necessary information about a specific space. This gives you the full context without needing manual lookups outside of Windsurf.
Absolutely. If your team needs more space, you just run `create_webex_room`. The agent handles the setup and initial configuration immediately.
This server manages scheduling metadata and room titles. Specifically, it deals with meeting IDs, room IDs, and user-provided text strings for names and descriptions.
