Key Capabilities

Write code that processes ticket lists.

You can call `list_tickets` and immediately inject the resulting array of tickets into your running script. This means you don't have to hardcode dummy data; you work with real, live customer support tickets. If you need a specific thread, use `get_ticket_details`. The API response gives you structured JSON that you can loop through or filter directly in the code block you're writing.

Check agent status within your IDE flow.

Write a function that checks for available support personnel using `get_agent_status`. The output is live data, not stubs. You can write logic that only proceeds if the required role (say, Tier 2) is currently online. Alternatively, use `list_agents` to get all agent IDs and pass them into a loop for bulk validation checks.

Get knowledge details for code generation.

The `list_knowledge` tool lets you query the available articles. You can then write logic that filters this list based on keywords, making your agent client smarter. If a match is found, use `get_knowledge_detail`. The full text of the article gets injected into your code's context, allowing you to reference it programmatically.

Setup guide

Set up Sobot MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP Settings

Go to Cursor Settings → MCP or open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "MCP: Add Server".

  2. 2

    Add the Sobot MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

Ask Cursor something like "List my recent Sobot transactions." If the MCP tools are loaded correctly, Cursor will call the Sobot tools automatically. You can also check Settings → MCP for a green status indicator.

Common questions about Sobot MCP in Cursor

Use `list_users` first. It fetches the user roster into your current context, allowing you to iterate over IDs or names in your function. This makes writing user-specific logic much cleaner.
The `create_ticket` tool is designed for this. You pass the required parameters—like customer ID, subject, and body text—and the API returns the new ticket number immediately, which you can then use in subsequent steps.
Sure. The `get_org_summary` tool gives you a high-level view of activity metrics. You can pull this summary and write code that checks if the volume is above or below a certain threshold.
Yes, `list_chat_history` lets you fetch conversation logs for specific tickets. This data gets injected directly into your code, giving you the full narrative context needed to process or summarize the interaction.
It exposes user profile information. Specifically, you can pull basic identifying details like usernames and account IDs via `list_users`.
