Key Capabilities

Headless device management in Claude Code

Integrate device pushing into your shell scripts with `send_push_notification`. Claude Code executes these commands in the background to keep your terminal workflow moving. It handles the API interaction without an interface. You pipe your output directly into the tools to move data between your machines.

Claude Code audits your connections

Use `list_connected_devices` to verify your target list before running bulk operations. Claude Code parses the output to ensure your script targets the correct hardware. This prevents misdirected pushes. The agent confirms the device identity before it commits to a transfer.

Terminal-based channel control

Manage your feeds with `list_channel_subscriptions` directly from your command line. Claude Code displays the active feeds, allowing you to monitor data sources in real-time. You can add or drop subscriptions via `subscribe_to_channel` or `unsubscribe_from_channel`. It keeps your terminal environment tidy and focused.

Common questions about Pushbullet MCP in Claude Code

Use the `claude mcp add` command in your terminal. Provide the server URL to register the tools for your headless sessions.
Yes. Claude Code uses the `send_push_notification` tool to relay data from your terminal to any device you have paired.
Your API key is stored in your local configuration. Claude Code uses it to authenticate your requests, ensuring only you can trigger pushes.
The agent operates in your terminal, so your command history acts as the log. It does not store your push data outside of your local session.
The server acts as a thin client. It transmits notification payloads directly to the API, using token-based authentication to ensure your device list remains private.
