Key Capabilities
Push code snippets to your phone from Cursor
The `send_push_notification` tool sends raw text, code blocks, or error logs from your active editor directly to your phone. Cursor runs this tool when a long-running build fails or when you need a specific code snippet on your mobile device. By using `list_connected_devices` first, the editor target is precise. You can walk away from your desk and let Cursor ping you the exact line of code that broke the build.
Monitor and manage active developer devices
The `register_new_device` tool adds your current terminal environment or local testing script as an active target inside your Pushbullet network. Cursor uses this to hook up temporary testing environments so they can receive debug notifications. When you finish testing, the agent calls `remove_device` to strip the temporary target out of your account. This prevents your device list from getting cluttered with dead development environments.
Pull live API status and credentials into your editor
The `test_pushbullet_auth` tool validates your API credentials directly inside the Cursor terminal. This ensures your connection is active before you attempt to run complex notification scripts or automated push routines. If a push fails, the agent runs `get_api_status` to diagnose whether the issue is a rate limit or a network drop. You get immediate feedback inside your editor instead of guessing why a notification didn't land.
