Key Capabilities

Collaborative device monitoring

Assign one agent to watch for incoming alerts while another takes action. Use `list_connected_devices` to keep the crew informed about which hardware is online. Each agent shares memory regarding the device state. If one agent detects a change, the others adjust their plans accordingly.

Automated notification sequences

Set up a sequence where research agents gather info and send it to your phone via `send_push_notification`. The crew coordinates to ensure the right person gets the right data. Your agents verify authentication status with `test_pushbullet_auth` before starting any heavy lifting. This prevents wasted cycles on bad credentials.

Dynamic channel management

Let your crew manage your information intake by subscribing to relevant channels. They use `subscribe_to_channel` to add sources and `list_channel_subscriptions` to audit them. This keeps your information stream focused. Your agents handle the noise so you only see what matters.

Setup guide

Set up Pushbullet MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke Pushbullet tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="Pushbullet Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze Pushbullet data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct Pushbullet access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent Pushbullet transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)
