Key Capabilities
Generate comparison logic for rates
You can write a function that uses `get_shipping_rates` to compare rates. The tool requires package dimensions, origin, and destination zones as inputs. You'll integrate this call into your rate calculation module. Cline lets you test this immediately. Write the API wrapper using the tool output, run it against mock data, and see a diff showing exactly how the multi-carrier response fits into your existing codebase.
Build label generation components
The `create_shipping_label` tool generates required PDF assets. Write a component that accepts a shipment ID and calls this function. The output must then be handled by an export utility, which Cline can help you build. It's not just calling the API; it’s handling the state of the resulting label object (metadata via `get_label_info`) right within your development environment.
Implement comprehensive shipment tracking
To track packages, you call `track_package` with a tracking number. This function needs to be robust enough to handle API rate limits and potential carrier downtime. Cline helps you write the necessary error handling. You can mock different failure states (e.g., 'No Tracking Found' or 'Carrier API Down') and ensure your code handles them gracefully before committing.
