Check Real-time Uptime Status with MCP Server

You can list all active uptime monitors and pull key data points like pass/fail status, up ratios, and response times using `list_monitors`. It's quick way to see if your site is having issues without opening a dashboard. Need more detail? Just run `get_monitor_details` for any specific monitor ID. This gives you the full history and current configuration of that service.

Set Up Notifications and Contact Targets

The `create_alert_contact` tool lets your agent set up where alerts go—whether it's Email or Slack. You manage all notification destinations using `list_alert_contacts`, so you always know what channels are active. If a contact is stale, don't worry. Use `delete_alert_contact` to permanently remove an alert target when the service changes.

Manage Monitoring Configuration

Start tracking services with `create_uptime_monitor`. You specify the friendly name, URL, and type (HTTP or Ping) right in the prompt. Your agent handles creating the actual monitor on UptimeRobot. Later, if things change, you can use `update_uptime_monitor` to adjust settings, or `delete_uptime_monitor` if the service is retired. These tools give full control over your monitoring setup.

Common questions about UptimeRobot MCP in Claude Desktop

The MCP Server lets your Claude Desktop client call UptimeRobot's API directly. You don't need to copy-paste URLs or use a web form; you just ask your agent to check the status, and it runs the necessary commands.
Yep. The `list_monitors` tool pulls everything back—pass/fail status, up ratio, response times—for every monitor you've set up in UptimeRobot. It’s a clean overview of your whole infrastructure.
Yes. The `get_account_info` tool retrieves your current UptimeRobot account usage and any associated limits, so you know exactly how much bandwidth or monitoring capacity you've left.
It interacts with monitor status and alert contact configuration. Specifically, it reads and writes information regarding monitor URLs, service types, and notification channel details (Email/Slack).
Absolutely. If you want fresh stats on performance for a specific job, use `reset_monitor_logs`. This clears the monitoring history and statistics for that particular monitor within the MCP Server.
