AutoGen: Debating Ticket Resolution Strategies

Build a debate among agents to determine the best next steps for a ticket. One agent can run `list_tickets` to identify the core issue, while another queries `list_kb_articles` to find potential solutions. The consensus-driven approach forces deliberation: one agent might flag that the solution found is insufficient until it checks user permissions using `list_account_users`.

Coordination via MCP Server for Community Planning

Agents can plan complex actions. For example, a 'Planning Agent' first reads through ideas listed in `list_forums`. It then passes the top concepts to a 'Drafting Agent,' which uses that context to generate initial content. This system simulates human collaboration, ensuring all necessary perspectives—from technical specs to user sentiment—are considered.

Multi-Agent Verification of Support Needs

You can set up agents that challenge each other. An 'Auditor Agent' checks `list_account_users` against the required access level, while a 'Support Agent' verifies if an existing ticket is relevant by calling `get_ticket_details`. This negotiation process guarantees that no critical step or detail is overlooked before concluding on a decision.

Setup guide

Set up UserEcho MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes UserEcho tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="UserEcho_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent UserEcho data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about UserEcho MCP in AutoGen

You can have multiple agents debate the best way to address a ticket. One agent gathers context using `list_tickets`, while another checks for known solutions via the MCP Server.
Yes. You can assign agents to analyze data from `list_forums`. They debate which topics are most critical, leading to a prioritized list of suggested improvements for the product team.
The server touches account user data and ticket details. With AutoGen, you can assign a 'Security Agent' whose sole job is to verify that every tool call respects the boundaries of personal identifying information.
It's perfect. Instead of one single API call, you build a deliberation process where agents argue over the best course of action using all available tools.
Yes. The setup supports streamable HTTP transports, which is vital when multiple agents are debating or processing large amounts of incoming forum data.
