Manage Support Tickets

You can build complex workflows around customer issues. First, call `list_tickets` to survey existing helpdesk items. Then, if a user needs something new, the agent calls `create_support_ticket`, logging the issue and getting an ID back.

Access Community Data

Need context? The agent can check multiple sources in sequence. It starts by calling `list_forums` to see recent discussions. After that, it uses `list_kb_articles` to pull specific self-help content for the user.

Check User Directory

The MCP Server allows you to verify who's on the account roster. Running `list_account_users` provides a current list of users. This is critical context before handling specific requests or escalating issues.

Setup guide

Set up UserEcho MCP in OpenAI Agents SDK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • openai-agents package (pip install openai-agents)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install the SDK

    Run pip install openai-agents to install the OpenAI Agents SDK. The MCP integration is built-in — no extra dependencies needed.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use MCPServerSse with your Vinkius endpoint URL. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. The SDK auto-discovers all UserEcho tools at runtime.

  3. 3

    Create your Agent

    Pass the MCP to Agent(mcp_servers=[server]). The agent receives UserEcho tools as native definitions — JSON schemas resolve automatically.

  4. 4

    Run the agent

    Call Runner.run(agent, prompt) to execute. The agent invokes the appropriate UserEcho tools and returns structured results. Copy the full example on the right to get started.

agent.py
import asyncio
from agents import Agent, Runner
from agents.mcp import MCPServerSse

async def main():
    async with MCPServerSse(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ) as server:
        agent = Agent(
            name="UserEcho Agent",
            instructions="You have access to UserEcho tools.",
            mcp_servers=[server],
        )
        result = await Runner.run(agent, "List recent transactions")
        print(result.final_output)

asyncio.run(main())

Common questions about UserEcho MCP in OpenAI Agents SDK

To get specifics, the agent calls `get_ticket_details` with a given ticket ID. This returns all associated notes and status changes. You'll have everything you need to respond accurately.
The `list_forums` tool gives the agent a list of available community discussion areas. It doesn't return posts, but rather the structure and names of the main forum categories.
Yep. You run `list_account_users` whenever you need to confirm active accounts or check permissions. This is a quick call that feeds the agent context about who's accessing the system.
This server manages structured collaboration and support data, including ticket records, user lists, forum structures, and knowledge base article metadata.
You just call `list_tickets`. This method pulls a summary of all current support desk items. It's the fastest way to get an overview before diving into specific ticket details.
