How to Use the ZeroTier MCP in Windsurf
Manage ZeroTier Networks for Windsurf: Autonomous Network Control.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect ZeroTier MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect ZeroTier to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate Member Verification with MCP Server
You can check every member of a ZeroTier Central network using `list_central_network_members`. This lets your agent verify who's connected to the staging environment before deployment. Want to update someone? Use `update_central_network_member` to configure or change access rights for any user in that centralized network.
Monitor Local Node Status
Need to know if the local machine is connected? The `get_local_status` tool pulls up real-time information about your ZeroTier node. It tells you exactly what state the local connection is in. It's also great for sequencing checks. If a subsequent step needs connectivity, Windsurf can first run this check to make sure the network path is open.
Manage Local Network Membership
Your agent controls local joining and leaving via `join_local_network` or `leave_local_network`. You set a goal—say, 'connect to the testing subnet'—and Windsurf handles the two-step process of checking if you can join and then executing the command. It even lists all available networks locally using `list_local_networks`, giving your workflow visibility into every ZeroTier segment it interacts with.
