What is the Tuputech Moderation MCP Server?
Integrate your AI closely with Tuputech (图普科技), one of the internet's most accurate machine-learning visual and text evaluation databases. With 10 deep scanning endpoints, you can create automated trust and safety AI workflows.
What you can do
- Deepfake Detection — Submit image URLs directly to identify if they are AI-generated (Synthetic)
- Categorical Risk Scoring — Split your moderation into Pornography, Terrorism, Toxic/Abuse, or Advertisement scanning intelligently depending on LLM context
- A/V Streams — Trigger asynchronous moderation on videos or audio fragments rapidly
How it works
- Install this MCP Server
- Obtain an Access Key (SecretId) and generate your RSA Private Key from the Tuputech Developer Console
- Input them into the MCP server dynamically. Vurb perfectly crafts the underlying RSA Hash internally to avoid the LLM from executing crypto logic themselves.
Who is this for?
- Discord / Community Bots — Have an LLM automatically check community links inside Tuputech's API
- Platform Enforcers — Filter spam out of application comments effortlessly
- Live App Managers — Intercept NSFW avatars uploaded via HTTP swiftly before reaching CDNs
Built-in capabilities (10)
Initiate an asynchronous audio scan
Detect advertisements disguised inside images
Scan an image for NSFW or pornographic content
Detect if an image is generated by AI (Deepfakes)
Scan an image for terrorism or gore
Detect abusive or toxic language
Check if text violates strict political guidelines
Scan text block for spam and advertisements
Initiate an asynchronous video scan
Submit manual feedback to improve AI results
Why Cursor?
Cursor's Agent mode turns Tuputech Moderation into an in-editor superpower. Ask Cursor to generate code using live data from Tuputech Moderation and it fetches, processes, and writes. all in a single agentic loop. 10 tools appear alongside file editing and terminal access, creating a unified development environment grounded in real-time information.
- —
Agent mode turns Cursor into an autonomous coding assistant that can read files, run commands, and call MCP tools without switching context
- —
Cursor's Composer feature can generate entire files using real-time data fetched through MCP. no copy-pasting from external dashboards
- —
MCP tools appear alongside built-in tools like file reading and terminal access, creating a unified agentic environment
- —
VS Code extension compatibility means your existing workflow, keybindings, and extensions all work alongside MCP tools

Frequently asked questions
How is the RSA authentication performed?
No manual prompt instructions are needed. You simply set your RSA Private Key safely into your MCP profile in Vurb. When your AI triggers an endpoint like scan_image_porn, the Vurb NodeJS shell dynamically computes the RSA signature hashing your exact Nonce+Timestamp completely isolated from your prompt traces.
What is Agent mode and why does it matter for MCP?
Agent mode is Cursor's autonomous execution mode where the AI can perform multi-step tasks: reading files, editing code, running terminal commands, and calling MCP tools. Without Agent mode, Cursor operates in a simpler ask-and-answer mode that doesn't support tool calling. Always ensure you're in Agent mode when working with MCP servers.
Where does Cursor store MCP configuration?
Cursor looks for MCP server configurations in a mcp.json file. You can configure servers at the project level (.cursor/mcp.json in your project root) or globally (~/.cursor/mcp.json). Project-level configs take precedence.
Can Cursor use MCP tools in inline edits?
No. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode through the chat panel. Inline completions and Tab suggestions do not trigger MCP tool calls. This is by design. tool calls require user visibility and approval.
How do I verify MCP tools are loaded?
Open Settings → Features → MCP and look for your server name. A green indicator means the server is connected. You can also check Agent mode's available tools by clicking the tools dropdown in the chat panel.
Tools not appearing in Cursor
Ensure you are in Agent mode (not Ask mode). MCP tools only work in Agent mode.
