Returns game name, tag line and account metadata. Get player account details by PUUID

get_account_by_riot_id

Returns the PUUID (Player Universally Unique Identifier), game name, tag line and account metadata. The PUUID is required for most other API calls. Get player account by Riot ID (game name + tag line)

get_active_game

Returns game mode, game type, banned champions, all players with their champions, summoner spells, runes and team info. Returns 404 if the summoner is not in a game. Platform codes: br1, na1, euw1, eun1, kr, jp1, oc1, la1, la2, tr1, ru. Get current live game for a summoner

get_champion_details

Uses Data Dragon (static data, no API key needed). Get detailed info for a specific champion

get_champion_masteries

Returns champion ID, mastery level (1-7), mastery points, last play time, chest earned status and tokens needed for next level. Platform codes: br1, na1, euw1, eun1, kr, jp1, oc1, la1, la2, tr1, ru. Get champion mastery data for a player

get_champions

Uses Data Dragon (static data, no API key needed). Optional version (e.g. "14.1.1") and locale (e.g. "en_US", "pt_BR"). Get all League of Legends champions

get_featured_games

Returns game mode, banned champions, all players with their champions, summoner spells and game length. Platform codes: br1, na1, euw1, eun1, kr, jp1, oc1, la1, la2, tr1, ru. Get currently featured games (high elo live games)

get_league_entries

Returns tier (IRON, BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM, EMERALD, DIAMOND, MASTER, GRANDMASTER, CHALLENGER), rank (I-IV), LP, wins, losses and hot/streak info. Platform codes: br1, na1, euw1, eun1, kr, jp1, oc1, la1, la2, tr1, ru. Get ranked league entries for a summoner

get_match

Requires the regional routing where the match was played (americas, europe, asia, sea). Get detailed match data by match ID

get_match_ids

Returns up to 20 match IDs by default. Use count (1-100) to get more matches and start for pagination. Regional routing: americas (NA, BR, LAN, LAS), europe (EUW, EUNE, TR, RU), asia (KR, JP), sea (PH, SG, TH, TW, VN, OCE). Get match history (match IDs) for a player

get_summoner_by_id

What is a PUUID?

PUUID (Player Universally Unique Identifier) is a unique ID assigned to every Riot account. It's required for most API calls like match history and champion masteries. Get it using get_account_by_riot_id with the player's game name and tag line.

Platform codes identify specific game servers: na1 (North America), euw1 (Europe West), eun1 (Europe Nordic & East), kr (Korea), br1 (Brazil), jp1 (Japan), la1/la2 (Latin America), tr1 (Turkey), oc1 (Oceania). Match history uses regional routing instead: americas, europe, asia, sea.

What are the API rate limits?

Development API keys are limited to 20 requests per second and 100 requests per 2 minutes. If you exceed these limits, the API returns a 429 error. Wait a moment and retry.

How does CrewAI discover and connect to MCP tools?

CrewAI connects to MCP servers lazily. when the crew starts, each agent resolves its MCP URLs and fetches the tool catalog via the standard tools/list method. This means tools are always fresh and reflect the server's current capabilities. No tool schemas need to be hardcoded.

Can different agents in the same crew use different MCP servers?

Yes. Each agent has its own mcps list, so you can assign specific servers to specific roles. For example, a reconnaissance agent might use a domain intelligence server while an analysis agent uses a vulnerability database server.

What happens when an MCP tool call fails during a crew run?

CrewAI wraps tool failures as context for the agent. The LLM receives the error message and can decide to retry with different parameters, fall back to a different tool, or mark the task as partially complete. This resilience is critical for production workflows.

Can CrewAI agents call multiple MCP tools in parallel?

CrewAI agents execute tool calls sequentially within a single reasoning step. However, you can run multiple agents in parallel using process=Process.parallel, each calling different MCP tools concurrently. This is ideal for workflows where separate data sources need to be queried simultaneously.

Can I run CrewAI crews on a schedule (cron)?

Yes. CrewAI crews are standard Python scripts, so you can invoke them via cron, Airflow, Celery, or any task scheduler. The crew.kickoff() method runs synchronously by default, making it straightforward to integrate into existing pipelines.
